Wilhelm Berger established WIBERG GmbH in 1947 in the village of Stuhlfelden in the Austrian Alps, based on the notion that pre-blended spices could produce a consistent taste.
In 1987, Richard Welzel founded WIBERG Corporation in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada. A sausage-maker with years of experience in the food industry, he expanded the WIBERG concept into North America. In addition he started Wiberg Equipment Sales, a division of WIBERG Corporation, to handle a full line of new and refurbished food processing equipment.
In 1997, WIBERG Corporation moved their head office and manufacturing plant to a new 50,000 sq.-ft. facility in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.
This year will we begin expanding our plant and office an additional 50,000 sq.-ft. so that we can better service our customer's need and expand our grinding and blending facilities.
